The 5 BEST Reasons to Move to Temecula in 2023

I personally have had the opportunity to live in many different areas all across Southern California. Temecula, without a doubt, has been my favorite place to live, which is why I am writing and producing a video on the “5 best reasons to relocate to Temecula in 2023.” From the beautiful weather to the abundance of opportunity, Temecula has many reasons why you should give serious consideration to making the move.

At the end of this blog post, I am going to attach a home search specifically for the Temecula area. This is updated daily, straight from the MLS. Customize your search and find exactly what you’re looking for. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We are happy to help and love this city immensely.

Weather

I was born and raised in Canada, and although I miss my friends, I couldn’t imagine moving back to the bone-chilling cold, wet cold springs, and massive mosquito and black fly populations. Of course, every state has its pros and cons, but in regard to weather, Temecula wins. For 8 to 9 months of the year, you will get beautiful sunshine, cool mornings, and 70 to 90-degree days. For three months of the year, it’s going to be anywhere from 95 to 105 degrees.

To be totally honest, the heat only gets bad around mid-September. Because our winter months are very cool in the mornings (35–45), it’s actually a nice change to wake up to warm weather. During the day, when it’s really hot, it’s perfect pool weather or inside air conditioning weather. You also have to realize that 105-degree temperatures are only expected for two to three hours in the afternoon. Once the sun starts to set, you have Hawaii-type weather (which means perfect temperatures), which is absolutely amazing. There is nothing more enjoyable than sitting on a patio and enjoying a beverage around 7 p.m. There’s no need for heaters, jackets, or even shirts if you really want adventure.

Real estate investment

You always hear people mumble about how they hate California or read articles about how people are leaving California in droves. Well, I live here, and I see the construction every day. There are literally hundreds of homes being built just in Temecula. Temecula has grown 140% since 2000.

Personally, I feel Temecula is still in its infancy in regards to people knowing and understanding how beautiful it is. If you talk wineries in California, Temecula rarely comes up; it’s always Napa or Sonoma. This will change in the future. I personally visit wineries almost every weekend, and the rolling hills, beautiful structures, and great wine are just waiting to be noticed and recognized.

We have 20 million people in Southern California, beautiful beaches, skiing, airports, and some of the best food in the world. Temecula is right in the middle of it all, 1-2 hours from everything I just mentioned.

Because of traffic, many inland activities were never on our radar when we lived at the beach. Now that we are in Temecula, Palm Springs, the mountains, Julian, and San Diego, all of which are great day trips or weekend getaways,

Amenities and Things to Do at Their Convenience

Temecula has some of the finest and most diverse amenities in all of Southern California. Can you name one city that has a beautiful wine country, a casino, and an older western town? Me either. When you add in all the restaurants, hiking, and amazing boutique-style grocery shopping, Temecula really can’t be beaten. I could probably spend a whole year going to all the different restaurants in Temecula and not get through them all.

After traveling the world for one year, I never take anything for granted anymore. When I get in my car and drive two minutes to a grocery store or five minutes to an amazing restaurant, I am grateful.

A great example of this variety is the Pechanga Casino in Temecula. Many people say, “Oh, I don’t gamble,” but there’s so much more to do than just gamble. We often go and see comedies, and concerts, go for dinner, and walk around. There is a spa and an RV resort. There is also one of the most beautiful golf courses in all of Southern California right on the premises.

Make no mistake: the accessibility and convenience of all the amenities Temecula has to offer is truly incredible, and it is one of the 5 BEST reasons to relocate to Temecula in 2023.

People

Both my wife and I are outgoing and very social. Every time we move to a new place, we always hope the people are generous, helpful, and just overall good people. Within the first month of moving to Temecula, it was obvious that we had picked a great place. It didn’t matter if we were walking at 7 in the morning around the lake, getting our haircut, asking for directions, or getting recommendations; everybody was helpful, courteous, and very friendly.

Opportunity

Many people talk about taxes, gas prices, and the overall high cost of living in Southern California. What they fail to mention is the opportunity that Southern California brings. I will use myself personally as an example.

If you have not figured it out yet, I am a real estate broker in Temecula. There are 20 million people, and homes range from $300,000 to millions of dollars. compare that to smaller towns throughout the US? Yes, my rent or mortgage might be $1,000 more a month, but the opportunity to make money is much greater. If you work hard, educate yourself, and become better than 80% of the people in your field, you will be much better off in California and make a great deal more money.

Another example would be the service industry. Again, your rent might be higher, but look at the sheer amount of traffic coming in and out of restaurants! Don’t you forget all the high-end restaurants with the opportunity to make hundreds of dollars each night? If you got established as a great server or bartender in Temecula, you would end up making more money at the end of the month than in many other areas across the USA.
