In this blog, we are going to talk about all of the pros and cons of living in Temecula Wine Country. Location
For many people, especially commuters, location is a big deciding factor when it comes to choosing a new home. Living in Temecula Wine Country has many pros and cons when it comes to the location. On the one hand, you can see beautiful vineyards all around you, and there aren’t many big buildings to take away from the natural beauty. If you work from home or if you happen to work somewhere in Temecula or Murrieta, then the drive from Temecula Wine Country will seem like a breeze.
It can take anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes to get from downtown Temecula and Murrieta to the Temecula Wine Country. If, however, you are commuting to somewhere in North Riverside County or San Diego County, then living in Temecula Wine Country will add some time to your morning commute. On average, it takes about 20 to 25 minutes to get from the freeway to Wine Country. This is very important to factor in if you have to commute to another city regularly.
bars and restaurants
As a whole, Temecula has a great variety of bars and restaurants all over the city. The Promenade Temecula and Old Town Temecula have the most bars and restaurants in the city. These two hotspot locations have over 45 assorted restaurants and bars between them. Driving from Temecula Wine Country, it takes about 25 minutes to get to either of these areas. But there are a few small restaurants like The Vineyard Rose, The Restaurant at Ponte, and Creekside Grill in Temecula Wine Country.
These are all located around the Rancho California/Anza Road intersection. Depending on where you live, these restaurants could be as little as five minutes away. Of course, when we’re talking about the pros and cons of living in Temecula Wine Country, it’s important to factor this in and take your lifestyle into account. It’s up to you to decide exactly how important it is for you and your family to live near all of the bars and restaurants in Temecula.
Home Prices
Homes in Temecula Wine Country have very different prices because almost all of them are made to order. The homes here sell for $1,120,521 on average, with a maximum sales price of about $2,800,000 and a minimum of about $370,000 (these prices are based on data pulled from sales over the last 3 months). Beautiful and unique homes are one of the major benefits of living in Temecula Wine Country. Because these homes are custom-built and often one of a kind, you never have a “cookie-cutter” feel when driving through this area. These homes also feature much larger lot sizes, which is a huge bonus for people who would like more land or even properties zoned for equestrian use.
Grocery Stores
There are plenty of grocery options within a fairly short drive, depending upon where exactly in Temecula wine country you are living. The closest grocery store to the north portion of Temecula wine country is Barons Market, which is about a 7- to 10-minute drive from most of the homes in the area. Just southwest of wine country, at the corner of Margarita Road and Temecula Parkway, there is a bigger grocery store with many options. This shopping center is only about 10-15 minutes away and has Stater Brothers, Albertson’s, Walmart, Sprouts, and Island Pacific Seafood Market. One of the cons of living in a wine country is that you will be a bit further from stores of all types. However, because of this, there is very little traffic, which allows you to enjoy the natural beauty of this region.
Schools
Temecula Valley Unified School District is one of the top-rated districts in all of California.
