Harveston Community Lake & Sports Park

The lake in the Harveston community is truly beautiful. It’s about 1 mile around the whole lake and is perfect for exercising, walking dogs, fishing, feeding the ducks, or even taking a boat ride. This is also where you’re going to find the pool, jacuzzi, barbecue area, yoga classes, and many other events going on in the Harveston community.

If you’re a sports lover, don’t worry; the Harveston community has you covered. With a 19-acre sports park, there’s something for everybody. Harveston has two lighted and fenced baseball fields, two lighted soccer fields, a community building, a picnic shelter, a playground, and restrooms. This is an ideal location if your children enjoy being outside or participating in multiple sports. They also have tot lots and picnic areas if you have younger children.

Schools in the Harveston Community

Ysabel Barnett Elementary is very convenient, as kids can easily walk or ride their bikes to school. The address of the school is 39925 Harveston Dr., Temecula, CA 92591-4586. The student-to-teacher ratio is around 24. The number of students is 938. Test scores are significantly higher than the California average.

James Day Middle School is located just outside the community, close to the 79 Freeway. The address is 40775 Cam Campos Verde, Temecula, CA 92591.

Test scores at James Day Middle School are far above the state average, with a score of 9 out of 10. You can find different scores or reviews depending on which website you look at. James Day Middle School has consistent ratings of 8/10 or A-.

Chaparral High School, like James Day Middle School, is located just outside the Harveston community. The address is 27215 Nicolas Rd., Temecula, CA 92591.

Similar to both the middle school and elementary school scores, they are significantly higher than the state average. If you look on various websites, you’ll find an A- or a 9/10.

Just outside the Harveston Community

Amenities in or near the Harveston Community make it an ideal area for the busy California lifestyle. In the Harveston Community, you have the luxury and choice of many grocery stores, which include Food 4 Less, WinCo, Costco, Sprouts, Trader Joe’s, and the 99 Cent Store. the farthest being about 1.2 miles. If you lead busy lives, you’ll learn to appreciate this immensely. Another huge advantage is having a Costco less than a mile from your house, which adds up to significant gas savings over time.There’s also a community trolley that stops at the Promenade Mall, which has a ton of restaurants and shops.

Fitness

If you like to stay active, don’t worry; the Harveston Community has many choices within a mile. Tennis clubs, Zumba Fitness, LA Fitness, Planet Fitness, 24 Hour Fitness, and Yoga You can really take your pick in regards to what your interests are. Personally, we love Planet Fitness. The rates are really hard to beat, and it has everything you need to stay in shape. Depending on the promotion, you can expect to pay around $10 per month for a basic membership, which includes free fitness classes and access to all the machines and cardio equipment. There is also a black membership for around $23 a month that includes everything stated above as well as massage chairs, tanning, and water massage beds. Another thing we like about this gym is the fact that it’s never really busy. You’re not waiting to get on machines or witnessing 300-pound muscle heads throw their weights around while screaming. It truly is a great atmosphere. The changing rooms also have showers and lockers for your convenience.

Restaurants

Within a mile of the Harveston Community, you will be able to find everything you could ever want to eat. Mexican food, sushi, fast food, fried chicken, happy hours, and sports bars Yardhouse has a fantastic happy hour from 3-6 pm Monday through Friday. Their half-priced appetizers are very good and include pizzas, poke nachos, chicken fingers, sliders, and much more. If you are looking for something that is a little easier on the wallet, here are 5 inexpensive date nights in Temecula. These are places we have tried and loved.

Wineries

We are going to take a wild guess and say the wineries in Temecula play a factor in many people’s minds when making a decision to move to Temecula. If you haven’t made the move yet, I can promise you that with over 40 wineries, you will surely find one that allows you to sit back, relax, and enjoy a glass of wine in your downtime. When you take everything into consideration with regard to amenities, quality of life, and schooling, the Harveston community is one of the best in Southern California. There’s so much to do, whether you’re single or have a large family. We love living in Temecula, and the Harveston Community is just one small part.
