3 Best Sports Bars In Temecula
One of our favorite things to do is catching a few football games on a Sunday morning or afternoon at a local sports bar. We have had the opportunity to visit many of the different sports bars around the area and we thought it would be a great idea to write a blog post or article with video on the 3 best sports bars in Temecula. The sports bars we will talk about are not just one-time experiences for us ,we have visited all four of these sports bars multiple times. Every single time we’ve gone we had a great time. Service, food and drinks were all great and we enjoyed ourselves
Generally speaking, when you search sports bars on either Google or Yelp many times they do not get very good reviews overall. Our personal experiences each of these for sports bars are much better than three stars.
This is probably our favorite, one of the biggest reasons is it is close to our house. We are pretty sure it has gone through new ownership and they are doing a great job. A few highlights that we love include, great service, really good food and lots of space.
The service is awesome, the first time we went was during brunch on a Sunday. Not only are all the servers happy and friendly, but they are on it. Last Sunday they never let our mimosas get below half hahaha. One of the things that bug us since is refined service everywhere has diminished greatly. It’s refreshing to go to a restaurant and actually have people enjoying what they do.
We’ve had a few things to eat at the restaurant and they are all great. We have eaten brunch here twice and the eggs benedict are awesome. We also love the sliced zucchini during happy hour. One of the things People seem to complain about in regards to sports bars is the food. We personally haven’t eaten anything we have not liked at The Cove
they have daily happy hour from 3 to 7. One of our favorite things on the menu for happy hour is the sliced zucchini. They have some great food and drink specials.
Sports and TV’s
They probably have 15 to 20 TVs inside and they also have an area set up right outside along the walkway. Tents cover you from the sun and they have TVs on Sunday set up so you can watch the games outside as well as inside.
The location of the Cove is great, it’s right off the 215 freeway and Murrieta Hot Springs. Whether you are stopping for lunch or going to watch the game definitely check out The Cove
Uncle Bob’s Sports Bar & Grill
We do love Uncle Bob’s and we would probably go there a little more if it wasn’t in the South end of Temecula. Its located right off Temecula pkwy and the address is 32483 Temecula Pky, Temecula, CA 92592
If we were to rate food on all of these restaurants Uncle Bob’s would probably be the winner. They have great burgers, sandwiches, fries etc. It is probably the smallest sports bar out of the 3 But they do have outdoor seating now.
All the servers and bartenders are great, very friendly and work hard. We personally enjoy sitting at the bar, it’s a great atmosphere, you get service quickly and there are lots of TVs around to watch the games. The bartenders are eager to have conversation and we’ve enjoyed Uncle Bob’s Sports Bar every time we have visited
TV’s and Sports
The only downside? The people sitting outside don’t really have the opportunity to watch any sports. With recent shutdowns and social distancing because of covid they cant hold a ton of people inside, its not a huge place.
The Tilted Kilt
If you are offended by girls in short kilts don’t go here. One of the biggest reasons we enjoy the Tilted Kilt is the atmosphere. On Sundays, it’s definitely a fun place and there are many people cheering their teams on. It also helps that it’s relatively close to our home in North Temecula.
We have ordered food a few times and it was always good. It’s not like we’re going to go on an anniversary dinner here but for sandwiches, burgers and some french fries it’s perfect. Again, one of the biggest reasons we go here is the atmosphere and to hear people cheering on their teams.
Another reason we like the Tilted Kilt is the size of it. There’s a large bar area that faces outside, with TVs around the bar. There is also an area that you can sit outside and face in towards the bar and watch the TVs. Another bonus is the inside is huge and they also have a ton of outdoor seating. If you’re worried about being close to somebody else because of Covid, the Tilted Kilt is definitely large-and-in-charge.
We have never had issues with the service. They have always been on it and take care of their business. The Cove still wins for friendly service though.
Bonus Sports Bar
We wanted to add a bonus sports bar and couldn’t include it in the top three for Temecula because it’s not actually in Temecula, its Winchester. Temecula, Murrieta and Winchester are all relatively close and we had such a good experience here the few times that we visited, we wanted to include it in our blog post and video.
One of the things that you do notice right away is that it’s a straight Townie Bar. It seems like The Skybox is visited by many locals.
When you first walk in this place, you’d never guess that it has great food, but boy do they deliver. If you like fried pickles, you need to try them.
When we visit on Sunday one of the things that we found interesting that makes this place unique is they play some games during the games. They have raffles and just make the whole day fun for everyone
