The monthly HOA for this area is $120 and the tax rate is around 1.2% which includes access to the communities three tot-lots, two recreation centers, tennis, basketball, and volleyball courts along with a beautiful Olympic sized swimming pool that is complete with picnic and barbeque areas.

The homes are large and very reasonably priced, they typically range between about $400,000 to $600,000 depending on the market. The Ponte Winery located a meer 9 Minutes drive from Chardonnay Hills is a beautiful cozy farmhouse style Winery with reasonable prices and a wonderful selection of wines and appetizers.

South Coast Winery Resort & Spa is also located only 8 minutes away and boasts a grand and elegant location that people travel miles to experience. This luxurious hotel is also a favorite amongst So-Cal residents for weddings or other special gatherings. No matter the style of wining and dining you are interested in, this area has something for everyone! 

Restaurants

What makes Chardonnay Hills such a great place to call home is the fact that within a 10 to 15-minute drive you have some of the most highly rated and reviewed restaurants in the area. Bluewater Grill Seafood, The Restaurant at Ponte, Penfolds Cafe & Bakery as well as some well-known favorite chain restaurants such as Islands, Yard House and BJ’s.  Either way you go, there is so much variety within a 10-15 minute radius your tastebuds will never get bored! 

Groceries and Shopping

The closest grocery option is Barons market Temecula, which is roughly four minutes from the community and filled with a great variety of groceries and produce. If you are willing to venture another 8 to 10 minutes further you will find a plethora of larger brand name stores such as Vons, Food 4 Less, Trader Joe’s , Albertsons and a WinCo Foods.

As for shopping, there are many great options, Promenade Temecula, the cities highest rated shopping center on Yelp is less than 5 miles away and boasts a wide variety of stores along with a beautiful outdoor shopping environment.

Commons At Temecula, Temecula Town Center,  Palomar Village and Old Town Temecula are all also located within a 5 mile radius of Chardonnay Hills. Of course many large name retailers are located in these malls and shopping centers, ensuring that all of your shopping needs can be met without too much driving or traffic.

Parks and Outdoor Recreation

As mentioned, one of the benefits of living in a community such as Chardonnay Hills is the use of its many amenities. Homeowners and their guests have access to a tennis, volleyball and basketball court, two recreation centers, a beautiful large Olympic-sized pool, as well as many other picnic and barbecue areas.

The community is also home to 49 Acres of maintained land sprinkled throughout the community which you can enjoy on evening or morning walks and are often located just a stone’s throw from your front door.

Margarita Community Park is also located only a 7-minute drive and features a large dog park, sports field and playground which is ideal for children. Also within 15 minutes or less, you can find Winchester Creek Park, Meadows Park, and Harveston Lake Park- which we think is especially well suited for day picnics or runners who enjoy a nice scenic route.
