Recent Blog

Leoness Winery is one of the best wineries in Temecula and it finally came to our schedule for a video and blog post. Beautiful views, gorgeous landscape, great service and live music are just a few reasons why we love Leoness Winery. Hopefully, this blog post and video will give you a good idea of what to expect when visiting and prepare you for a fun day out at one of the best wineries in Temecula!
First, the parking. There are two options, valet and self Park. The valet is $8/Car and the self-parking is obviously free. We always choose the self-parking as it’s literally the next driveway up and pretty much the same distance in regards to walking. The only downside is that it is a gravel or a dirt lot, so if you just got your car washed or detailed you might want to do the valet.
History
Leoness Cellars was founded in 2002, they have 20 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon grapevines that were planted in 1999. Wines produced include Viognier, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, White Merlot, and Muscat Canelli
Things we love about Leoness Winery
The landscape
When you enter you feel Leoness is its own small city. With its quaint walkways through the tasting rooms, multiple streams, restaurants, and sitting areas it really is enjoyable just walking around soaking up the experience. What I find to be really enjoyable is that the vineyard is right next to the Winery.  You can overlook the vineyard in most areas throughout the winery.
Amenities
Leoness really has everything for a fun-filled afternoon. With its own restaurant, multiple tasting and sitting areas and even a dog-friendly patio, there is nothing overlooked. Last time we visited Leoness they had everything set up for a wedding, which looked beautiful. The wedding area is higher up on the hill which gives expansive views of Temecula Wine Country
Music
We enjoy listening to music or having a live band when visiting wineries. Leoness seems to be pretty consistent on having music either live or through speakers. In our opinion music at a winery changes the atmosphere and keeps a little more upbeat.
The Restaurant
The restaurant at Leoness is a quaint area. It has both indoor and outdoor seating. Even when sitting inside you get that open air feeling. It’s open Monday-Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. the restaurant has a good variety of both salads main dishes and appetizers. You can visit their website if you want an in-depth look. In regards to cost, for two people expect to spend anywhere from $70 to $130 depending on dishes and the type of wine you drink.
Membership
We go over the membership packages in-depth on the video attached to this blog post. The memberships are very reasonable and our opinion is that if enjoy going out once or twice a week for a drink it’s much cheaper to join a couple of wineries then going to random restaurants all the time.
Hopefully, this blog post about Leoness answered some of your questions. Again, we love it here, it’s our go-to winery if we want to guarantee ourselves a fun Sunday afternoon and why it is our choice for one of the best wineries in Temecula. If you would like more information on a variety of wineries in the Temecula region this website is a great start. Every week we try and visit one new winery and document our experience true both articles and video.
Another amazing winery that we love is called Avensole and in our opinion is another winery on our list for the best wineries in Temecula
