Shopping in Temecula

We all know the big shopping brands: Target, Walmart, Macy’s, Nordstrom, etc. While you can find all of these types of big-name retailers in Temecula, we thought it would be fun to outline the other awesome little stores this city has to offer! I’ve broken it down for you into 3 main sections. I won’t go into a huge amount of detail regarding the exact locations of some of the smaller stores, but I will add any helpful information or links at the bottom of the post. I hope you enjoy it!

Old Town, Temecula

When it comes to specialty stores, Old Town has you covered! This quaint little downtown area has tons of restaurants, but it also has many little spots that are great for finding gifts and genuinely unique items.

One of our favorite stores is the Temecula Olive Oil Company, which provides tastings and has tons of different types of oils and beauty products. A few other unique stores in Old Town are: Temecula Lavender Co., Old Town Spice and Tea Merchants, TOAS Territorial Traders, and Au Savon Provence. Au Savon Provence is especially interesting because the store’s owner is actually from France and came here to sell his organic artisanal soaps and beauty products, many of which are vegan and cruelty-free. This store is perfect when shopping for the women in your life, who will certainly love anything that comes out of this heavenly-smelling shop! If you’re searching for apparel, we’d recommend ‘Up Your Alley Boutique’ for high-end name-brand items or ‘Infiniti Boutique’ for your everyday, high-quality, and affordable clothes. The best part about shopping in Old Town is that the stores all have their own unique and often handcrafted items for sale, so you’re bound to find what you’re looking for.

Another reason we love Old Town Temecula is that after a long hard day of shopping, there are plenty of restaurants and bars to sit back and have a bite to eat and drink. We have attached a video to this blog post, which includes a day of shopping and going into the different stores in Old Town Temecula. Hopefully, the video gives you a good idea of what type of stores you can expect in this beautiful area of Temecula, California

If you are shopped out, we also wrote a blog and produced a video on

Promenade Temecula

In our humble opinion, the Promenade is the epitome of high-end shopping and provides a beautiful outdoor shopping experience. This open-air area looks lovely day or night! The promenade is lined with tall California-style trees and is lit up to perfection at night, especially during the holiday season. Some of the more uncommon and up-scale stores include

Upscale Stores Include

A. Moda is an elegant Italian crafted men’s apparel store and Vintage Galeria is a California-based clothing retailer with unique vintage-style clothes. If you happen to be in the market for beautiful jewelry or perhaps even hunting for the perfect wedding ring-

The Promenade is the perfect place for you! This large luxury shopping outlet is home to over 8 dedicated Jewelry stores including our favorite called Alexander Jewelers. This place is family run and you really can feel the difference, the owner Raymond is always helpful and willing to work with customers to find exactly what they’re looking for. Overall, whether you are looking for a casual place to window shop or you’d like to dig into a full-on shopping- spree, the promenade has you covered!

Temecula, California, truly is the Hidden Gem of Southern California when it comes to cities. if you are thinking about making the move, here’s a blog post and video explaining why I feel after living in multiple areas throughout Southern California Temecula, California, is truly the Hidden Gem of Southern California.

Unique and Antique

For those of you that like to shop for one-of-a-kind and truly unique items, Temecula will not let you down. The city is littered with great antique stores and vintage clothing outlets. While bigger isn’t always better, we’ve found ‘Granny’s Attic’ to have the largest selection of antiques. The store has a booth-type set up all with varying themes ranging from glass/ ceramics all the way to furniture and motorcycles. If you are at all into antiquing throw on a comfortable pair of shoes and prepare to explore this place for a few hours!

Another great store is ‘Angel View Retail Store’, which is essentially a thrift store but much more organized and very clean. This thrift shop has a great selection of clothes and other various donated items and the best part is that the proceeds are used to help disabled adults and families struggling with raising developmentally challenged children. Makes the guilty pleasure of shopping feel a little less guilty! You can find other small antique resale stores throughout the city, a few of our favorites are ‘Old Town Antique Faire’ and ‘4th Street Antiques’. These types of shops are constantly buying and selling new items so popping by every couple of months to hunt around the store is such a fun way to spend an afternoon.

I hope this post has been helpful and I hope you enjoy shopping at these places as much as I do. We’re always looking for recommendations so if there is a store you think we have overlooked please feel free to contact us anytime (it’ll give me an excuse to go shopping!).
