Frangipani Winery
We continue our Temecula Winery discoveries with one of the best wineries in Temecula, Frangipani. The wineries we visit are in no particular order; it’s just one we randomly pick to showcase that week. Every winery we visit seems to have something unique and memorable. One of the best descriptions about Frangipani Winery came from a friend who was visiting during this particular visit.
“ Frangipani reminds me of a calm, relaxing backyard with a beautiful view. I feel like I just came home from work, sat down with a few friends, relaxed, and enjoyed great company and service at an affordable price.”
Frangipani Winery was established in 2003 but didn’t open the doors till 2006. The Frangipani family built the winery From the ground up, by themselves. P Produce around 5,000 cases of wine a year and the varietals include Sangiovese, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Petite Sirah, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Verdot, Syrah. All these grapes are handpicked and farmed to perfection. All winemaking and bottling are done on property.

Wine Tasting
Frangipani Estate Winery is open most days 10:00am – 6:00pm. The best part about Frangipani Winery is that you can sit anywhere on the property and wine taste. We suggest you check out Groupon as many of the wineries in Temecula have two-for-one deals, especially during the week. In regards to service at Frangipani, it was nothing short of amazing. We sat outside on the patio overlooking rolling hills, and vineyards and had the bonus of a beautiful sunset. Our server actually came over and sat with us for about 20 minutes at the end of the day. He was super friendly and knowledgeable in regards to Frangipani Winery. He is in the video below explaining the wine club at Frangipani Winery. He goes over tastings as well and how many you get as a wine club member.
Wine Club
I’ll go over what the website has for the wine club but after talking to the server I think they’ve changed it up a little bit. There might be three levels now. From what I understand all of the levels have some sort of free wine tasting per month. If you’re interested just talk with them about how I get into my phone

Overall Vibe
As I mentioned earlier, every winery in Temecula is different. We feel it’s important to talk about what you can expect from each winery so you can plan your outing accordingly. If you’re looking for a large Winery, with restaurants, live bands and more of a party type atmosphere Frangipani Winery is not what you’re looking for. If you want a winery that is relatively quiet, which allows for great conversations with friends and to leave at the end of the day feeling totally relaxed, Frangipani Winery is for you. I personally had the chance to walk around the property, take some drone footage (in the video below) and do a little exploring. Yes, there are other areas of the property that you can sit. One area that stood out to me the most was a small area, just below the main patio. It was a really interesting part of the winery, which was almost tucked in with the vineyard. There were 4 to 5 tables and even a bocce ball area. I’m sure this would be tons of fun in the warmer weather.
Views
As you will see on the video, the views are breathtaking. I’m not going to lie, this is one of those things that can really make it for a winery. I also enjoyed how The View overlooked the Frangipani Vineyard. Many times you’ll get great views of the valley and rolling hills but miss out on seeing the wine Vines. Frangipani Winery gives you both.
Gold Plumeria Club
The Gold Plumeria Club includes 4 bottles of wine that will be delivered to your house 4 times a year. In regards to discounts, you will get 20% on bottles and 25% on cases. On the website, it says you will receive 4 complimentary tastings per month for you and up to 3 guests. If there are additional guests they will get 50% off the regular tasting price. In regards to what wines you get, you are able to choose whether you want reds, whites or a mixture.
Winemakers Selection Club
This is one less bottle but still four times a year. They will also be delivered to your door and you have a 15% discount on bottles and 20% discount on cases. With the winemaker’s selection Club you will also receive two complimentary tastings per month for you and up to 3 guests. Similarly to the Gold Plumeria Club if you have more than 3 guests they will get 50% off a regular tasting price.
Overall Experience
We can honestly say that both Christy and I and our guests had a wonderful afternoon. Frangipani Winery is one that you need to put on your bucket list. we are very lucky to live in such a beautiful area of Southern California and try and take advantage of everything the Temecula area has to offer.
